Every year on November 11, Canadians pause in a silent moment of remembrance for the people who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace.ÌýÌý

This °µÍøTV we honour the memory, and respect the diversity of all of our veterans. In recognition of our efforts as a district to commit to truth and reconciliation, we draw attention toÌýthe First Nations, Métis and Inuit people of Canada who have had a long and proud tradition of military service to our country. TheÌýÌýraged from 1914 to 1918 and more than 4,000 Indigenous people served in uniform during the conflict.ÌýFor more information on Indigenous Veterans please visitÌý.

Throughout the week, all °µÍøTV schools will honour and commemorate this significant day.

°µÍøTV in °µÍøTV - 2021 Virtual Ceremony

This °µÍøTV, members of the public are encouraged to participate virtually in the online service to honour the individuals who gave theirÌýlivesÌýto serve and protect Canada. Please refrain from gathering at City Hall this year – instead, Remember In Place from wherever you are at 11:00am.Ìý

An online ceremony will be broadcast Ìýat 10:30am on Thursday, November 11.
