Secondary students learned drum making and cedar weaving this year, in a series of workshops. Students reported that the connection with the Indigenous teachers who led the workshops, as well as learning the traditions, was significant to them.

Goal #2 Ìý
The community of learners and educators in the °µÍøTV will engage in the meaningful process of reconciliation through education by developing an understanding and respect for the histories, cultures, and worldviews of Aboriginal communities, beginning with the First Peoples of this place. Ìý
 Ìý
During the late spring, several educators participated in a series on land walks with a Musqueam Knowledge keeper. As our staff builds up knowledge of the history of the First Peoples of this place, they are better equipped to support the teaching of reconciliation. Feedback from staff who participated was very positive; several commented that the information they learned was new to them, and gave them new perspectives.
